Jol hopes to emulate Wenger

Spurs boss Martin Jol admits he is in awe of the job Arsène Wenger has done at Arsenal.

The Dutchman has spoken of his huge respect for the Gunners boss and says he hopes to work himself into a similar position of power at Tottenham one day.

"It's great. If you bring a lot of players through your club, and at a big club like Arsenal, you still get praised at the end of the season, even though they are out of all the competitions. That is unbelievable if you can do that as a manager," Jol told the Guardian.

"I hope I can do that in the future because that would be a fine position."

Jol also praised Wenger for the football he gets Arsenal playing under his attacking philosophies.

"I love his philosophy. He always plays football," Jol added. "I saw them against Manchester City in the week and, even without Thierry Henry, they seem to play in a similar style with a lot of movement and passing, better than any other team."
