Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams has expressed some concerns over the events surrounding his former club at the moment.
Adams has said that the departure of Dennis Bergkamp has had significant repercussions on the pitch, and the sacking of David Dein hasn't helped matters.
The Portsmouth assistant manager also highlighted the fact that a number of experienced personnel have also left the club in such a short space of time, and that the club's youths have had to grow up very quickly.
Adams said: "I think they miss Dennis Bergkamp on the pitch more than they'll miss David Dein off it.
"I think all the experienced players retired or moved on at the same time.
"Dennis, Patrick [Vieira], Martin Keown, Sol [Campbell]; all that experience, knowing what it means to play for Arsenal. I'd have liked a little more of a transition.
"What happened to Liverpool was very similar. They had a conveyor belt through the Seventies and into the early Eighties, and all of a sudden it went 'bang'.
"They've not won the League trophy since 1990. I'm not saying Arsenal are going to do that, but when there's Emlyn Hughes going out and Alan Hansen coming through, you know what's what.
"Arsenal have not had that for a few years. It just seems to me that all the experienced players have gone at once."
Adams also said that former vice-chairman David Dein agreed with him, and that he was trying to hold on to Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell particularly.
Adams added: "I saw Dein at the Ajax game a couple of years ago, and I said, 'You're going to have to try and hang on to Ashley [Cole] and Sol at all costs', and the pair of them went together as well."
