Reyes is welcomed back at Arsenal

Misfit and wantaway winger José Antonio Reyes has been told that he is welcome back at the Emirates Stadium.

The Spanish international has been a flop at Real Madrid and is facing a somewhat embarassing return to North London.

But Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has said that he would be more than happy to have Reyes back in his squad, but only if Reyes himself is interested in playing for Arsenal again.

Wenger said: "Reyes coming back can happen.

"I have nothing against that - but Reyes does not want to come back to English football, he prefers to stay in Spain.

"It looks at the moment that the situation with Real Madrid is a bit confused about Reyes.

"We have no clear vibes coming out."

I just amazed at how Spanish Players flop once they leave Spain. I struggle to think of any Spanish player that has done well overseas.

Although I do not expect to ever see Reyes play for Arsenal again, I certainly think it would be a better option than keeping Baptista.
Although he scored a good opening goal against Fulham, he went on to miss so many other great chances, it is now obvious that he just does not have it. If he had buried the easy chances he had against both Spurs and Fulham, the hanging on at the end of these matches just would no have been necessary.

Surprising that such a welcome would be in order when Anelka didn't say half what's been said by Reyes and yet was for ever more villified?????
