Wenger: We have missed Reyes this season

Manager Arsène Wenger has hinted that his team have missed the natural width and thrust winger José Antonio Reyes would usually provide from the flanks this season.

Reyes is currently on-loan at Real Madrid in a swap deal with striker Julio Baptista, who in turn has failed to make much of an impact at the Emirates.

Wenger said: "I will sit down with Madrid and talk about Reyes this week.

"Once we find out what they want to do with him we will make a decision.

"We have missed him at some points this season because he is a natural winger but we shall wait and see what happens."

Look, fact is Reyes doesn't want to play for the Arsenal again. And with that kind of attitude he doesn't deserve to! We missed the *good* Reyes this year - the one who _sometimes_ showed up for the Arsenal. The lad has a great engine, but for us his technique was patchy and his positioning was often weak. We should buy someone new instead (Babel or Ribery for instance), and leave Reyes in Spain. The big question is: will any team there be willing to buy him!

completly disagree with liaogz. why spend money when you have a player ready to fill the position. Reyes could be the key for the future. can you imagine a front 3 of Reyes, van Persie and Walcott???? GET REYES BACK!!!

If Reyes wants to give it another go i will back him. He is older so i fell he should be able to give England a better go. He has never said anything bad about Arsenal. I doubt we will see him though

We need Ribery. Reyes hates England,the weather and the physical football.Reyes wont be back.

Hopefully we can get Reyes to try again, we have missed him. I think we will have to help him on a personal basis to help him to settle and learn english, then maybe he can come good for us. However, if we dont get him back, we need two wingers at least to mitigate the losses of Pires, Reyes, and ljungberg. - yes, ljungberg
