Reyes puts future on hold

Reyes puts future on hold

On-loan Arsenal striker José Antonio Reyes has refused to comment on who he will be playing for ahead of the new season.

Reyes is still on-loan at Real Madrid from Arsenal and has repeated on numerous occasions that he does not want to play in England when the deal ends.

Atletico Madrid and Sevilla – Reyes' former club - are reported to be interested for the signature of the Spanish winger, but he insisted that he will be focused only on Real Madrid's fight for the La Liga title.

"I am only thinking about the two games I have left and about winning the league, which is what I joined this team for in the first place," he said today.

Real Madrid are the current leaders of La Liga, should they win their final two games against Real Zaragoza and Real Mallorca, they will be crowned champions.

"I've said many times that I don't want to return to London, but I won't decide anything regarding my future until the league ends," added Reyes, who has struggled to tie down a first team berth in Fabio Capello's side this season.

"There are teams interested in me, but I don't really want to know much about the whole issue until the very end because I want to stay focused.

"My agent's doing his work and I'm doing mine. I only wish I can stay in Spain."

If Reyes does not want to play in England he should sit on the bench at Arsenal. Let's see if he would burn to play after couple of months there. I have a feeling sudenly the climate the culture etc would be less of a problem.

this fellow is nothing but a big cry baby. despite the fact that the fans took to him in london he has shown no shred of loyalty tp the arsenal cause. he whines at every given opportunity and quite simply disgusts me. arsenal should get rid of the duck. he is bad for team morale!

let him stay at madrid he is not good anof for arsenal and buy a world class striker i think arsen wenger is a great manager but he needs to dig deep and spend some money on some older players also not just the young players.
