Reyes might stay at Real Madrid

It has been revealed that José Antonio Reyes might have secured a permanent move to Real Madrid.

It was previously thought that the La Liga champions were not keen on holding on to the 23-year-old.

Reyes has made it clear that he is not keen to go back to London and has been holding out for Real to give him a permanent signing to El Santiago Bernabeu.

City rivals Atletico Madrid were believed that they were interested in bidding for Reyes, but Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has now revealed Real may consider to keep the forward after his Liga-winning heroics when coming off the bench to score twice against Real Mallorca to help Real to the title.

"(Reyes) helped us win the league," Mijatovic told the club's official website.

"He's an excellent player and there's a chance he'll stay with us."
