Despite heavy speculation that winger Freddie Ljungberg will leave the Emirates Stadium in the summer, manager Arsène Wenger has hinted that the Swedish international will see out his career in North London.
Comments from Ljungberg's agent suggested that negotiations are already underway for a transfer to Italian club Fiorentina, but Wenger said:: "I expect him to be here [at the start of the campaign] because he has not left yet.
"So that is 90 per cent yes. The Freddie case is a bit different than it was for Thierry Henry, if he had wanted to go we would have let him go. But I am happy that he stays."
Ljungberg still has two years remaining on his current contract but he has been plagued with injury for the most of last season.

I love it that he is staying but am concerned about the £70,000 per week. The amount of injuries he gets he should get the government statutory sick pay and see how the other half live. I have watched him during warm up and can see how he picks up injuries by not warming up properly. Lift those pins Freddie and stay injury free and let us all know you can still do it!
