Wenger: Director of Football hasn't been chosen yet

The departure of David Dein has prompted the club to appoint a new director of football, and according to the club, manager Arsène Wenger has been granted almost free reign to appoint whoever he wants.

At the moment, Wenger is being assisted on the transfers front with director Ken Friar.

Wenger has always said that this was a temporary measure and initially wanted a swift appointment. That has not transpired, although the Frenchman indicated that there wasn't a problem working with Friar.

Wenger said: "I wanted to do it before the end of the season when I started buying and selling.

"But then I thought that now is the worst time because I have no time to tell someone how I want to do things.

"I did not want to unsettle the team before the end of the transfer market.

"So at the moment I work with Ken Friar and it is working well for us."

What bullshit is that? No time to tell him how he wants to run things? does AW really thinks he is bigger than the club?
