Hleb aiming for double figures this season

Hleb aiming for double figures this season

By Mark Brus on Tuesday, August 7, 2007

Alexander Hleb has revealed he hopes to improve on his goalscoring form this season.

The Belerussian has scored just six times in his two seasons at Arsenal, and believes more goals from midfield can help the team cope with the departure of Thierry Henry.

"It's my dream to score 10 or more goals this season," he said.

"At the moment I still don't know how we will live without Henry. He is a great player and a part of Arsenal.

"But he wanted to leave. No one is irreplaceable and him leaving is not a tragedy."

It will certainly be our dream as well that Hleb scores 10+ goals a season.
We have been sorely missing goal scoring midfielders like Pires and Ljungberg in past two seasons.

This is the season for Hleb and Rosicky to step up.

As the time draws closer to another season the feet are getting itchy! And one big positive i can take away from the Pre Season is, i feel we will go one better this year in winning the UCL!
The tournaments we participated in, were a good learning kerb for UCL as it was in semi tournament Mode.
The EPL though will be another story, and depending on a good injury Run, we could end up above Fourth and with a stroke of good luck and results going our way maybe we can win that too!! Its the mid season trips to the North that worry me most, and the back end of the season if there are 3 or 4 teams fighting for the EPL it will come down to Mental and Heart!! I Know the Boys got the Heart but after 45+ games up to that point will they be Mentally there? not the seasoned campaigners the younger brigade!
