Wenger: We came through another test

Manager Arsène Wenger says that his team has come through another test of character after recovering twice against champions Manchester United to salvage a point.

Wenger's charges went down first to a goal from Wayne Rooney in first half stoppage time, before Francesc Fabregas equalised in the second half.

Cristiano Ronaldo gave Untied the lead again with eight minutes to go, before captain William Gallas equalised again for the Gunners in first half stoppage time.

Wenger said: "Our character was tested twice.

"Just before half time and with eight minutes to go.

"Overall though, I believe it was a fair result. We played with the handbrake on in the first half, though, and we lacked our usual flowing game."

"That is a disappointment [not to take all three points].

"But on the other hand I am pleased that in two big games we had to run after the score and we did that both times.

"We are still in charge of the title race because we are top with a game in hand."

Everyone keep talking on a younger side but thats almost not true. the average age in arsenals team was 24,85 and in united it was 26.15. The only thing that differs alot is that Van der saar is 37 years old and Giggs 34. they makes the United average age much older. I meen look at Arsenal! Toure 26, Rosicky 27, Gallas 30, Hleb 26, Almunia 30, Gilberto 31, That was the older players. Then you have the young side, Sagna 24, Flamini 23, Clichy 22, Adebayor 23, Eboue 24, Walcote 19, Eduardo 24.

And then we have United, V der sar 37, Evra 26, Hargraves 26,Ferdinand 29, Brown 28, Giggs 34, Vidic 26, Saha 29, Carric 26, O,shea 26, Then the younger players, Tevez 23, Rooney 22, Ronaldo 22, Anderson 19.
Not that much diffrent, Arsenal have 3 players 30 or above and United have 2. So if you put the starting 11 you see thats average age in Arsenal is 25 and in United its 26,5 So dont come talking that you are so young

True Arsene, but we could have and should have won it, if only we had players running into the box more.

i congratulate all the stake holders. this was a tough game and we played well. the opponents had a good side but we had a younger sude but more talented. i wish we continue this way we can be champions by January.
