Arsenal move for Papa / Hoyte to Everton / United unaware of Cesc

The People are reporting that 15-year-old AEK Athens youngster Sokratis Papa is a target for Arsenal.

It is reported that the Gunners are moving quickly for the teenager.

Meanwhile, Justin Hoyte may be tempted by a loan move to Everton, as Joséph Yobo will be joining Nigeria for the African Nations Cup in January.

Manager David Moyes wants to increase his defensive options and Hoyte would seem an obvious choice, after the right-back's comments last week about lack of first team action.

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has admitted that he was unaware of the rising talent in Spain in the shape of Francesc Fabregas whilst the midfielder was at Barcelona.

Ferguson said: "No, I wasn't aware of him when he was at Barcelona.

"Maybe my scouts were, but I wasn't. Arsenal moved very quickly there."
