Arsenal without key players for Wigan clash

Manager Arsène Wenger will be without several key players for the match against Wigan Athletic tomorrow.

Up to five midfield players - Francesc Fabregas (suspended), Alexander Hleb (injury), Mathieu Flamini (injury), Abou Diaby (injury) and Gilberto Silva (fatigue) - will be unavailable for selection.

Striker Robin van Persie has also not recovered sufficiently for the crucial match.

The biggest blow looks to be for Alexander Hleb, who came back from international duty with a hamstring injury, and will be out for three weeks.

Wenger said: "Hleb came back with a hamstring injury.

"So once again we lose someone during this [international] period. I think he'll be out for 21 days.

"Flamini came back with a little thigh problem too. That will be one week maximum.

"Senderos is available but Cesc is suspended. Diaby has a back problem from the Slavia Prague game and he'll be out for three weeks.

"Robin van Persie is not back and he will not be back for Sevilla either. Gilberto will return very, very late.

"In fact he only comes back on Friday. So, as for the rest of the squad, we'll see."

Well pull through.. Wigan is in a but of a turmoil.
BTW: It looked to me like Fabregas took that yellow card against Reading on purpose. Better to be suspended for Wigan than some of our later games.

Thats why Arsenal have great midfield depth. Denilson and Diarra who will cover would be first choice for most Premier League teams. Eboue or Walcott on left, no problem, same result. Arsenal cruise.
