Midfielder Francesc Fabregas has said that he is fit to play against Aston Villa, easing worries that he has suffered a hamstring injury.
Initial press reports indicated that the Spanish midfielder would be out for 10 days, after he limped off against Sevilla.
Fabregas said: "I felt my hamstring in the first half.
"I kept going, but I felt it again in the second half. I just came off to prevent something.
"It's the first time in my life I have felt this and I didn't want to take a risk. I'd say I'll be fit for Saturday, but the doctors are always trying to be a little bit careful.
"We will see the reaction."
The midfielder, a revelation this season, says that it was difficult losing Arsenal's first competitive match of the season, but was focused on the next match.
He added: "It's hard losing. We want to win, but you will not win all your life.
"One day you have to lose. We have lost against a good side and that's it.
"We will try to come back and win on Saturday.
"We have three important games and the league is the most important thing now for us."

Arsenal is doing extremely well without Henry. Of course he was an asset to the side, but he was also hindring the exactness of a complete team.. hats off to Wenger

That is great. He's able to avoid an injury. Fantastic I wish all other players can be as wise as him!! Great Cesc!!

Would be good to see Fabregas playing on Saturday but not if there's any doubt that he's going to cause any longer lasting damage. There are more important games coming up e.g. Chelsea Barstewards!
