Manager Arsène Wenger has said that his young side can handle the pressure that comes with being Premiership leaders.
The Frenchman said that Arsenal were under pressure to take advantage of the situation after the weekend when their league rivals dropped vital points, and glad that his side came through with all 3 points against a determined Blackburn side.
Wenger said: "It has been a very good weekend for us.
"We were under pressure to take advantage of the situation after what happened on Sunday [when Manchester United lost] but we scored an early goal and controlled the game in the second half.
"I feel we have handled the pressure very well each time this year when we've had our backs to the wall.
"Last week we played first at Man City and we won.
"This week we played last and we won. We've come up with the same answer each time.
"There's still a long way to go. As soon as you're not at your best at the top, you can drop points.
"We have seen that over the weekend, but we are in a good position and we believe we can do it. We'll fight until the last minute of the championship."
