Wenger - Terrible pitch could cost United

Arsène Wenger has come out and said that the state of the pitch at Old Trafford was a "disgrace", and that it could cost Utd in the future.

"It was a disgrace and completely unbelievable," said the Arsenal boss. "Players worth £25million cannot make a pass on that without the ball bouncing over the pitch.

"I believe the pitch is a handicap for them because their team plays at a good technical level. But the quality of the pitch negates that advantage over other sides.

"I just think I've been coming here for 10 or 11 years and I've not seen the pitch in that shape."

Although it will probably hurt Manchester United, it was clear for everyone that the team that suffered the most on Saturday night due to the pitch was Arsenal, who, with inexperienced full backs and an emergency winger, could not play crosses into the box like the Manchester outfit did doing all game long.

i totally agree with Le Prof! My district secondary school pitch is way better than old trafford's! With millions of pounds in their bank, they sure are stingy!! hahahaha

Sorry Arsene, its not often your wrong but this time you are. We played like schoolboys (and acted as such) on Saturday. THAT is what lost us the match, not the pitch. Please stop finding excuses and admit the failure of our players.

I want to comment on the poor performance of Arsenal Vs Manchester United for the FA cup. Arsene Wenger toiled with Carling cup used in experienced players caused me as a dear fan of arsenal my own happiness to win the cup. the experiment was not necessary last yeari the same thing happened and coach repeated it again this year. Can you see how the coach wasted the fans money and wasted our time watching a very disgraceful match. It is better to take every match as they come. Dont program players for champions league when you have not finished one. So after Wenger has destroyed the match you now think Adebayo and the substitutes will perform magic by bringing them in. I do hope you will not cost us the premier league with your latest unproductive style.
