Manager Arsène Wenger conceded that his team are going through a bad spell at the moment.
Arsenal rescued a point against a well-organised Villa side, who had threatened to go away with all three points but for Nicklas Bendtner's last-gasp equaliser.
But the Frenchman decided to focus on the positives and said that every point gained would be valuable in the end.
Wenger said: "Everyone goes through a bad spell, but every point gained is of vital importance.
"They were difficult opponents.
"They defended very well and were sharp on the break.
"We had to dig deep to get to the pace of the game and it was the desire and refusal to lose which got us a point."

Bullshit! How tha f@€k do you put Diaby on the left wing and Walcott in attack and leave Bendtner on the bench?! I think Wenger is covering for his mistake on Saturday.I love Wenger, but that was a fatal blunder in the title race.
