Manager Arsène Wenger has called on his players to remain calm and determined in a title race that is getting tighter and tighter with every passing weekend.
The Gunners' lead at the top of the table has been reduced to a mere two points and second-placed Manchester United have a game in hand, allowing them to seize top spot if they beat Bolton.
But Wenger is urging his players to not put unnecessary pressure on themselves, acknowledging that his team are going through a bad patch at the moment.
Wenger said: "It is tighter than ever. We dropped two points today and we are going through a patch at the moment, we are a bit unlucky I feel.
"But the team is still focused. We want to remain calm and determined then we'll have a very good chance to do it.
"When you fight against teams who fight not to go down - like we did at Birmingham - they never give up.
"It was a difficult game and we were focussed. We prepared ourselves mentally to face a difficult pitch and we still had the chances to win the game. Overall we did what we could and gave everything.
"We had a serious defensive game and we did not give any chances away. Wigan deserve credit too because they fought very hard.
"As we did not score the first goal they did not come out. They jumped off their seats with 0-0 at 90 minutes. They were happy with a point.
"We did not score and as long you do not score you are in danger of conceding and them not coming out at the back.
"If you do not make a difference early on then you are always under threat because if that happens the more their belief and determination grows during the game."

Determination is certainly what Arsenal does NOT have!

I think the team was tired. And I didn't like the way of Gliberto played on the day with Wigan. He lost the ball very easily. I think he is better out of the team.

Come on Wenger. You should know that from the 2nd half of the seasons bottom teams will fight for their survival. You should know that the squard will get thinner and tired out when games from multiple competitions will come fast and furious, not to mention injuries, suspension due to accumulated yellow cards and red cards.
Why is it time and time again you don't strengten your team during the Jan transfer window? Even a loan player will help.
Ever since 23rd Feb, Arsenal had 3 points out of 3 games, Liverpool had 12 points out of 4 games. Everton had 9 points out of 3 games. Man-U had 6 points out of 2 games......

Nine draws is not pl champions form, even though we have only lost just one game so far, we draw too many games. Must do better!

If we have to win the title, we should be the bottom teams to some points. So far have done absolutely nothing. We drew Birmingham twice, not good, drew Wigan, not so good either, worse, almost beaten at our own backyard by villa. We should pull up our socks,we are coming to the end of the title race. Let us work harder. I want see results, not draws!
