Defender Johan Djourou has said that Arsenal's future success is assured, with such talented youngsters coming through the ranks.
Djourou said: "Their improvement has been big.
"I see them every day on the training field and then I see the work that they do with Neil Banfield and with Steve Bould.
"You can see their improvement each time they play, or even when they join in with the first team.
"It is very good for Arsenal's future."
Meanwhile, midfielder Mathieu Flamini is rumoured to be set to move on to Italian club AC Milan, after Arsenal have insisted that they cannot offer the influential midfielder more than £50,000 a week.
It is though that Flamini is after £55,000. The situation is reminiscent of the contract negotiations with Ashley Cole, who left over a £5,000 pay dispute, only that Flamini is conducting himself alot better.
Flamini has also been offered a large signing-on fee to move to Italy.

I cant beleive that we are still losing our best players because of lack of investment. We are constantly being told that we have the money so surely its time to use it.The difference between us and Chelsea and united is the amount of investment in the squad as a whole.Chasing results United can bring on Tevez,Nani,Giggs,Chelsea can bring on Anelka,Kalou,Wright Phillips.Shutting up shop United bring on hargreaves , Carrick, Chelsea bring on Alex,Makelale etc.
At this stage of the season we are running on empty, its almost treason to question the french genius that is Wenger but money in the emirates bank account wont leave me with a warm glow in my old age,no one remembers teams that dont win anything (only me!)
We must keep our best players and invest in quality and experiance.Keep the faith

i still cant accept after so many years, i'm still seeing the same old Arsenal. It's been 15yrs now since I followed the club. We still have a small club mentality. I would have thought after moving to a big stadium like the Emirates, we will finally be considered among the big boys. Boy was I wrong! Still plagued by the same issue of not being able to hold on to our best players. Look at Anelka, Overmars, Petit, Vieira, Pires, Henry. All of them think Arsenal are not big enough for their ambition. Why is this so? The management. That's why. They make us look like a small club. Big clubs buy players from smaller clubs, not the other way round. if we continue this way, i can't see why fabregas, hleb, rvp, etc. would want to continue playing for us.

Arsenal need to maintain their players and Wenger in statements claimed that his number one goal was to maintain the team he has. Arsenal didn't sign any players for this season so therefore have a lot of money to utilize. Flamini fits in well with the team and has been playing good football, and really the only question to ask is why the club is not willing to pay the extra money. Is it because he is not worth it?
In my opinion he is worth it, and losing him would be costly, as a new midfielder would be required to take his place, taking time to fit into the team, time which Arsenal cannot afford.

Arsenal should give Flamini the extra 5k a week.We can't keep loosing good players who fit in perfectly. We can't win nothing as it is. We should be buying not selling.

Why is he being so greedy? As if £50000/week wan't enough to get by. Why would he go to a team that we have just trashed on their own turf (AC Milano)?

It will not only pain but it will be somewhat a blow to our beloved club to see flamini off! This lad has been at his best and of course has been very promising!I NEVER thought it could come to this point with the ongoing negotiations on such a talent! men.

I think Arsenal lack ambition in terms of footballing success. They groom the youngsters for other clubs. What is the use of grooming your players and then failing to retain them? Every year it has always been the same old story that Arsenal will perform better the following season to no avail. Though l want Arsenal to win the league this year, i dont think this year it will be any different. Wenger should blend experienced players with these youngsters, not the other way round. The team can perform remarkably all season but then fail to land the winners' medal. Unless the core business of Arsenal is to buy and sell players at a profit they need a scope redefinition!!
