Toure: We need to stop Gerrard

Defender Kolo Touré has said that the Gunners will aim to stop midfielder Steven Gerrard, and in that sense, they will be able to stop Liverpool from playing to their strengths.

Many are claiming that Arsenal will have to stop striker Fernando Torres instead, but Touré insists that it is England midfielder Gerrard who is the fulcrum of the side.

Touré said: "For us, it is not Torres who is the most important, it is the team.

"If you can stop Steven Gerrard, then you can stop the Liverpool team.

"Torres is a really good player but if he does not have a really good Steven Gerrard then the game will be much easier for us.

"They understand each other - the way they play, the way they pass the ball, the way they move and that is what we will be looking to stop."

Presently arsenal have two stars, adebayor and fabregas.Fabregas has scored a ton of goals.Before van persie was injured he also had many goals.I think adebayor and fabregas need some support with goalscoring.

Neither Van persie nor Fabregas are good.They are just morons used in possessing the ball,running with it all over the field but no goals.This is why for the last five seasons you have won nothing.And maybe this is the sixth season in a row.

I agree to what you said west oz gooner that he isn't bad at free kicks but how many times has he scored in free-kicks this season. What I meant was that besides RVP we need a good free-kick taker and when we are buying someone then I just hope that person is good at free-kicks.

Also his free-kicks are dangerous and that is something which we are not good at. I recommend that if Wenger buys someone then let that person be a good free-kick taker. Hope it is Ronaldinho.

Gerrard isn't that great but what Ilearnt from what Toure said about Gerrard is that I feel that we should be careful of his long range shots coz he is the best in the world and then comes Fabregas. See Gerrard's goals on YouTube and you will cry seeing them coz it is great. But I regard Fabregas better coz Fabregas is a center midfield and Gerrard is an Attaking Midfielder. Fabre's long shots are good and are the 2nd best in the world but Fabregas' assists are the best in the world and in the premier league he is the second among the top assists with first A. Young from Aston Villa.
