Manager Arsène Wenger has admitted that there will be no trophy for his team this season, after seeing his team lose more ground against Manchester United in the title race.
The Gunners lost 2-1 after taking the lead against United, suffering a similar meltdown to their match against Liverpool in the Champions League.
Wenger said: "I feel the difference between success and failure is very little.
"We do not feel there is much between ourselves, United and Chelsea when it comes to technical ability and quality.
"So it is difficult to accept we will not win the title.
"I want to win trophies and it is sad we cannot win a trophy this season.
"On the other hand I feel we have done a lot for the Premier League this season by the way we have promoted it.
"We will continue to play the way we do, but better. Then the trophies will come.
"At the moment our confidence has dropped a little bit. When you get knock after knock it is difficult to take.
"However I cannot fault the team spirit - it has been exceptional.
"Overall I am very proud of my team's performance today. We had to be exceptionally strong after the Liverpool game - and we were."

Mose is right about who all we should buybut Walcott for Anderson no way. Man Utd. will never give him away and I'm sure Walcott will play better there coz Fergie will play him consisently. But right now Walcott is much better. Anderson hasn't even scored 1 goal this season and that is hopeless. Anyway I hate every Man Utd. player.

Mr Wenger i think its time you stop siding with some of your players. Some of them are just not good enough and i dun understand why are u hanging on to them.If u could let Upson go then why couldnt u sell Senderos. He seems to make every ordinary striker looks good when they played against Arsenal.I couldnt believe a centre-half at a top club like Arsenal can be outpaced by a big forward with the ball like Marlon Harewood. Also,u could let Bentley go n convert someone like Eboue to a midfielder.I think he is super over-rated.IF he could play right mid at Arsenal then i think any right mid in the league could replace him. He basically only knows how to dive, lost the ball and makes a fool out of himself. In Lehmann, its not we cannot defend corners, and its because he is always busy playing stamping foot with the opposition strikers. Also,he just couldnt shut up and admit Almunia is better than him.Mr wenger please do something,u are letting Arsenal fans down terribly!!

Monsieur Wenger,
I hope you are reading this. All the comments point to the same conclusion. The team is too thin. Yes. The team is great, at times even better than Man-U, Chelsea and Liverpool. But the big question is can you have the team fully fit and at top form for the WHOLE SEASON? The answer is an obvious NO. While other top 3 have enough coverage to swap around, you always see injuries, internationals, yellow cards/red cards suspensions all coming in after December. And when the 2nd half of the season started you will see how difficult it is to cope with 4 competitions + internationals.
Lastly, please spend and get a super top rate Goal keeper. One that will cut the no. of goals conceded by half. One that will save all free kicks and corners. This will win you more games.
Trust me, if you don't change. Nothing will.

wenger says they will continue to play the same football which is great but as a big arsenal i really dont think weve got as much as man u and chelsea who can both play differant football if there way is not going according to plan. as well i really do think we lack a little quality definatley up front i knom adebayor has scored a few this year but i still dont see him as an out and out goal scorer which is what every team at the top needs to have.eboue i agree with everyone that he is absolutly appalling this year but he is a good right back.

Arsene dear i doubt very much that you want to win trophies cos you don't seem to be going the right way about it. I'm not a manager but i have the utmost belief in AFC, however when we went from top to 3rd in the table IN MARCH i knew it was over & paid off all wagers i had with mates. You say there is not much difference b/w us, ManU & Chelsea in technical ability and quality, although this is somewhat true, the actual difference b/w us & them is that they have more players with these characteristics than AFC do & will always get the better of us when it matters most; it actually hurts to know that we will be finishing below Chelsea once again. You can fantasise as much as you like about our abilities & the fantastic football we play, it has brought us nothing in 4 years. Until you address some of these issues next season i can't see anyway forward for us. Please look closer at our injury prone players as technical ability & quality is no good to us if the players with these characteristics are injured for long periods season after season.

Yeah, the team in Premier League which will make progress is only Arsenal. With this thin Squad, i don't think Arsenal can compete with the other three teams in Euro and England games in the same time. Wake up and see what happened in the Premier League these years. It's time to make some changes.

You cant win any important trophy with such a thin squad like the one you have. It's high time you woke up and recruited players with experience to strengthen our talented young squad. I know next season will be ours with at least two trophies if you stop being tight with your signing.

It was really quality foot ball its just unfortunate arsenal lost however something must be done on the defence,it didn't really put up the best,it was lacking.

I thought we played well yesterday, but i didn't expect us to win, even when we went one-nil up. I can't believe we can't hold a lead for more than 5 minutes at the moment. I think you could see the relief on the faces of the players at the end of the game, they know that the pressure is off now, we can't win anything as Wenger says. I expect the team to go on and win all the remaining games now, and i think we will see a couple of clean sheets and held leads.

Then it must be time to give Nacer Bazerites a run in the first team to set him up for next season, stick with Alex Song and Theo and give some others in the 'almost there' class a go.

Wenger should go for the fa cup next season,it is easier to win and yet it is prestigious and the carling cup should complete the double.

Wenger has lost his mind if he thinks he can win the league with players like Senderos and Eboue in the squad.

Arsenal have shown great maturity this season they have been able to recover from losses very well and av improved on setpieces which is commendable. though we need depth in our team-a CAM,CB,LM AND TWO PROLIFIC STRIKERS. we can be the best team.we should make a switch for walcott with anderson from M.U.walcott can play better at M.U.ARSENAL FANS SHOULD TAKE HEART THE CUPS WILL COME AND OUR LUCK WILL CHANGE.
