Wenger improves Flamini offer, warns Inter over Hleb

With growing interest from continental giants Milan and Juventus, manager Arsène Wenger has made an improved offer to midfielder Mathieu Flamini to try and persuade the midfielder to settle his future before the end of the month.

Flamini was reportedly previously offered £55,000 a week, and it is thought that Wenger has now improved on that offer.

Meanwhile, winger Alexander Hleb is also the subject of speculation from across continental Europe as Inter Milan are looking to tempt the Belarus international away from London.

Wenger, visibly annoyed at the Italian club's growing interest, said: "If Inter are interested, why do they not call me?

"I haven't had a call from anybody. It is not destabilising for me at all but if they want to buy a player from us, they call me and accept the answer they get.

"You never hear me talking about players who are under contract somewhere else.

"I find all the talk completely disrespectful. Yes, Mancini is being disrespectful with his comments; yes, it is something we would consider making a complaint about.

"They [Inter] can call us or we shall report them to Fifa. The way they proceed is absolutely unacceptable. We will not accept that between big clubs.

"He is class. He reads the game well. He is technically good and has a good connection with the team."

I think all these clubs are bent on unsettling Arsenal. Why wont they just mould there own player ,or look elsewhere, how come they always look to Arsene's men first. Its really annoying. They should all go and grow their own Flatussooo, Fab4 etc

pay him 65,000 per week, after all we always claim to make more money as profit to other clubs.

I agree with goonergary. Flamini will find himself in a similar position as Petite when he left. Making tons of money, with a lot a free time on his hands because he can't get into the squad.

On a nothing note, is anyone else sick of the annual summer transfer rumors? Every year at least 3-4 Arsenal players are linked- ALL SUMMER LONG - with leaving the club. I'd like one summer where we're linked with buying more often than we are for selling!

Flamini is too cynical. He will not advance as well as he would under Wenger. He will get more money in Italy but he will go nowhere. I doubt in a years time even if he will be in the French squad.
