Manager Arsène Wenger has moved to allay fears that midfielder Francesc Fabregas might miss Euro 2008 because of an injury.
Wenger said that a scan had confirmed that it would take three weeks for the injury to heal, forcing him to leave the midfielder out of the squad that faced Everton.
But that would be sufficient time for the Spaniard to recover and go to the European championships.
Wenger said: "Cesc wasn't in the side because he was injured.
"He came in yesterday morning, we made a scan and we couldn't take a chance to play him.
"On the scan it is a three-week injury. He'll be ready for Spain but not for us."
