Wenger: First signing within two to three weeks

Manager Arsčne Wenger says that he is hoping his first signing of the new season will be complete within the next two to three weeks.

The Arsenal manager was seeking to reassure fans who have become concerned over the departure of Mathieu Flamini and possibly Alexander Hleb.

Wenger said: "I know what I want and I am very confident.

"I hope to turn that around in the next two or three weeks.

"They (fans) should be re-assured by what they see.

"It would be better to buy someone who has played in England because they are less risky, but it costs more money if they are from the Premier League."

Sell Hleb. Hes done fuck all, all season.
Bring in Ben Arfa, Benzema, Mario Gomez or Villa and some defender like Y.Toure or some one like J.Terry and Carvalho who stop players from scoring..

well theres rumours rife on the internet that mario gomez has just signed for arsenal you check his name on wikipedia says his current club is arsenal maybe a tell tale sign

ermm i would say lets just wait and watch its been a really frustrating season for us but i would still say in arsene we trust wat ever he buys wont be world class but will become world class that is for sure how many signings he has failed at ? a minor 10% or so ? and ye as far as silverware goes next year i am pretty confident we can snatch one if we stick with the same team with one or two additions ..

well adebayor has done really well for us this season but although he has scored nearly 30 goals he has missed some right sitters would love wenger to sign someone like huntelaar or better yet david villa and maybe offload bendtner because Im just not a fan

I would like wenger to buy striker who can make a team very crucial like David Villa,Obafemi Martins and many others who can even defence the team.Hoping you Wenger !

Why would you want to sell Adebayor? Did you not notice that he's scored 30 goals for us this season? That's no longer good enough?

Lets get Lorik Cana from Marseille in pack with Nasri. Cana is an ideal replacement for Flamoney. He is very tough, has great aerial presence and is more assured at the back. Also taller than Flamoney.

I'm pretty confident his first signing will be Hatem Ben Arfa from Lyonnais. I'd be chuffed with that, i'd also like yaya toure from barca, a top class centre back and maybe a world class goalkeeper. Also a striker for cover would be helpful to us.

I think arsenal are going to get SAMIR NASRI but i think because in the website of www.thesun.co.uk it says that nasri signed a new contract until 2012 but it says that if they pay him 12-16 million and if he likes the club he will be able to leave

Pls dont sell ADEBAYOUR. He still has so much more 2 offer us. Dont mind those fools tellin u 2 sell him off. U know wat he is a great player. I wanna ask can u bring back our former strikers Henry. I will love 2 see him playing 4 Arsenal again.

wenger has a point there but he should promise us the title, it's been so long(4yrs) not chasing the other top clubs.
