Rosicky: This is the worst time of my career

Rosicky: This is the worst time of my career

By Jonathan Chong on Sunday, May 11, 2008

Winger Tomas Rosicky said that this is currently the worst time of his career, with the Czech international being sidelined since January with a troublesome injury.

A few days ago he also revealed that he would be undergoing surgery, and that effectively also rules him out of Euro 2008.

Rosicky said: "It is extremely difficult to estimate (how long I will be out).

"We will know that after the surgical intervention. A lot will depend on what the doctors will see after they open the wound.

"It seems as though that blow separated the ligament from the bone, so we can expect minimally two months of further rehabilitation.

"Until the last moment I believed I would get together and wouldn't have to undergo surgery.

"I have been playing football at a high-level for ten years and this is my first serious injury. This time I was simply enormously unlucky.

"It is a big pity for me. I had big plans for this season.

"Mainly, I started the season very well. I have always been told that I do not score enough goals and I started to score more.

"I felt strong, not only for the Euros but also for Arsenal's games.

"Unfortunately, football can be like this sometimes. I have been experiencing the worst times of my career, that is clear."

Rosicky - fragile, RVP - fragile, Diaby - fagile, Eduardo - Extremely unlucky. It seems to me that Wenger must check out the family history of these players before buying them. Usually weak jointed or injury prone players have family history of this. I feel sorry for you Tomas, Hopefully you get your body right over the summer and come back and show us all what you are capable of.

i'm very amused that this sort of injuries never ever even gonna happened to the Manures!!it always happen to us or Cheski but id did not happen to them.look at rooney.he was only sidelined for only 2 weeks whereas for us it would be 2 months.Manure are lucky.last year they won when Cheski lost Cech and Terry, this year we lost so many vital players and slip up

Dear Thomas, Hang in there brother. You will come back stronger, faster and a lot wiser. You've no doubt had time to reflect on how you're going play when you come back. You have a wonderful ability to score from distance and set up the most amazing goals. With yourself and Hleb on the wings flanking the opposition. You both will be a force to reckon with. You have plenty of support over here in Canada and when you're thinking of hanging up you're boots. I suggest you play a couple of seasons with Toronto FC. You will be warmly welcomed.

Well Tomas after this injury I believe we'll see the best out of you. Well either his best or we'll see Tomas exiting the doors of the Emirates....love the guy, but right now he's as useless as a one legged man in a ass kicking contest. Get well soon TR7. We'll need you next campaign.
