Eduardo: The next few months are crucial

Striker Eduardo da Silva has said that the next few months are crucial for him in terms of his rehabilitation plans, and that his physiotherapy is going well.

The Croatian international is back in his native Brazil undergoing treatment for a broken leg suffered in the game against Birmingham City earlier this year.

The ongoing exercise in Brazil also means that Eduardo cannot travel with Croatia and provide the team with moral support at the European Championships, and will be cheering them on the television.

Eduardo said: "According to the rehabilitation plan, I will continue to work in Brazil and watch the Euro from here. I really wanted to be with the boys, but it is impossible.

"The Brazilian television will transmit all the games. I will support for Croatia with all my heart.

"I am working a lot. I undertake physiotherapy every day and now I feel much better. Everything is going according to schedule and I stick to the programme.

"It all depends on the physiotherapy. This could take four, five months; it is still not possible to say precisely when. It will depend on how the doctors estimate my recovery."

I know a fighter when I see one, and this boy is a Tiger!! He'll be back without doubt and much stronger for it too. Don't rush it though Edu. Take as much time as you can as did the Fulham boy ( I can't remember his name now but looks like the hijacker in Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry. The one Fulham bought from Wigan). Until then Edu, enjoy your recuperation and rest.
