Former goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has agreed a deal to move to German club VfB Stuttgart.
The German international had said that he would decide on his future after the European Championships, but also admitted that Stuttgart were the front-runners for his signature.
Lehmann said: "The talks with the Stuttgart management team were very pleasant from the word go.
"I am looking forward to VfB and the Bundesliga and hope to play my part in a successful season 2008/09."
VfB sporting director Horst Heldt added: "We are delighted about signing Jens Lehmann.
"He is an excellent goalkeeper and has huge national and international experience.
"He is exactly the type of player we were looking for and are convinced that he will quickly become an important part of our team."

Thanks mate. You filled (excuse the phrase) Seamans shoes extremely well and I regret not buying you a pint after the Borough game. God speed.

Good luck Jens. I hope you enjoy your time at stuttgart. I think we (arsenal) are going to struggle without you in our defensive line. Best of wishes. From cape town, south africa
