Wenger praise for Arshavin

Manager Arsčne Wenger has revealed his admiration for playmaker Andrei Arshavin.

Many Arsenal fans are calling on the Frenchman to make Arshavin an Arsenal player as the Russian international has been the revelation of the tournament so far.

Wenger said: "I won't invent anything if I say he has been the revelation of the tournament.

"His way to make a difference against his opponents is absolutely amazing. That is the mark of great players.

"The rumoured contact with Arsenal? As usual (there is speculation), but I've never met him."

Really can't see this happening and last time he openly admitted admiration for a player that we were linked with? BEN ARFA and no agreement was made.

Really wish we could make this deal happen.

Am afraid that whenever Wenger praises a player so much, he is unlikely to buy such player. Examples of such praises in the past are on: Rooney, Torres, Essien etc. Wenger! please let Arshavin own be different. He is definately a match winner Arsenal needs. Reckon that the tendency of most of all these 19- 21 year old players leaving after playing just 3- 4 years is very high especially if they are tempted with higher wages elsewhere. But giving a player like Arshavin(27yrs)a 4 yr contract,he could be tied to the club for the rest of his career, cos not many players can get serious attention at 31yrs of age or above. Wenger should pressure this guy to come to the Emirates as I am sure Arsenal will make the most of his immense talent.

arshavin is going to get speculation after the euro's because he is so fantastic. Even though its a spectulation of him going on wengers hit list, he still is a quality russian

Heven't met him? Then please do. We need to do something to ensure we can retain players in future. New and dare I say 'seasoned' talent sure does seem the way to go

If you get a chance Wenger go meet him. This is a player who does not require additional maturing or experience who can help us NOW. Arshavin would be the buy of the summer if we could get him . . .
