It's like a never-ending transfer deal - will he, or won't he?
It was initially thought that Samir Nasri would have his future sorted before the end of the European Championships, but Marseilles apparently urged Arsenal not to complete the deal due to their accounts being submitted for that financial year (they would end up paying more tax).
Then a personal statement from Nasri on his personal website confirmed that he would indeed be playing at Arsenal next season, before that statement was withdrawn and the player's agent stating that such an announcement was premature and that negotiations were still ongoing.
It was thus thought that Nasri would sign after the European Championships, but this wasn't so even with France's early exit.
Now, Nasri's agent Jean-Pierre Bernes, has said that Nasri is on holiday and would be returning in 10 days to complete his move to the Emirates.
Bernes said: "He is on his holidays. It (the transfer) will be made when he will be back, in about 10 days."

Nasri deal will be completed when Hleb signs for Barca. Unfortunately Ade may go if he does not accept his new offer from Arsenal. I say unfortunate because it becomes disruptive to the team if we have lost Flamini, Hleb and Ade who were all first choice players. Ade, like Hleb frustrated me last season. Ade with all his offsides and simple misses and Hleb with 10 goals from 130 games who simply would not shoot and overplayed the ball when in a shooting position. As for transfer predictions they drive me nuts, we must of had every player in Europe linked to us this summer!

I'm tired of waiting 4 this (Nasr) deal to be complited! Can anyone come out clearly & tell us what is really going on with Arsenal! Are we going to see new world class players next season or jst the same Hoyte, Eboue, Ade of this world. With this kind of players, let me guess,,, NO TROPHY AGAIN. Sell Ade bring Villa, send Eboue on loan & bring Nasr then Sell Hoyte, Diaby, Djorou, Gallas & pay debts. Then i can bet 4 s'thng next season. O'wise

i disagree with you as i think nasri would be a quality player for the gooners because of his young age and high profile skills. he would be a decent replacement for Flamini as well as Guiza would be :)

heard of him before, a talented player who is known for passing, dribbling and making runs. may play ahead of fabregas - player of the season 2007 2008

yesu are right Ali,we need a central defender and a central midfielder to replace Flamini and Gilberto who is aging fast. we need three players for that team.

i think that nasri is a very good player but wenger should consider better players and should focus more on bringing a central defender and a defensive midfielder.samir nasri will be a very good substitute to fabregas.we shouldn t forget thatarsenal s main problem is their bench. (united have nani , anderson , hargreavs and tevez on their bench)

Let it be that the news about Amaury Bischoff coming to Arsenal is not true. I learnt he currently have no contract with Bremen which suggest he is free. Knowing Wenger to always want to have players on free or cheat, one will think Samir Nasri`s deal have been shelved in favour of Bischoff. Else, why this delay about signing him?

Although Nasri is an awesome player and would fit well in the Arsenal team, he is making Arsenal look desperate. He should be begging to be a Gunner...not the other way around.

This must be the longest transfer saga in the history of Arsenal Football Club. It's going to be an anti-climax when he does actually sign.
