Midfielder Carlos Vela says that he is more than happy to be in London and aiming to establish himself at Arsenal.
The Mexican teenager has been on-loan in Spain whilst waiting to be eligible to play for the North London club.
He also said he was grateful for having been able to play in two of the most exciting leagues in the world.
Vela said: "I've always considered the best leagues in the world are the Spanish and the English ones.
"Having been able to play in Spain has been a very good experience, I learnt a lot.
"The truth is that I know very little English. Only a few words, but not a lot.
"I'll need to learn there. When you need something you learn it pretty quickly."

I understand that this kid has a lot of potential but what I don't get is why people will think he'll perform straight away. Youtube is meant to make players look like stars and Vela gives the ball away A LOT of times on there.

lol, PHADER. What games have U been watching? Modric is a Rosicky type n of a lesser extent, not a Fabregas. Also he'll have to prove himself in the premier. As for Dos Santos, he couldn't even start for BArca when the fron t 3 (Ronnie, Eto'o n Messi) were injured. That is Y he was sold. To say he's a Ronaldinho is not only laughable but an insult of MASSIVE proportions to Ronaldinho!
All this drama unfolded last season. Buy experienced players etc, yet our greatest mess was the experienced Gallas when he capitulated after that penalty. Also, these so called inexperienced players were 4 points from being champs.
I don't think we need anything extra, we just need an overhaul to our medical staff. We have too many injuries. That is not normal. In any case, a fit Risicky n V. Persie will seem like 2 new, experienced and vibrabt signings!!
I say GO GUNNERS!!!

It's an honor to have said 'hello' to him in the Mexico vs Peru game I went to.
He has been an exceptional player for Mexico this summer, and I have no doubt he'll shine with Arsenal.
It might take him a few months to adapt though, so don't loose patience Gunners!

From the little i've seen of this guy, he's a cross between van persie and eduardo. Beautiful first touch and movement inside the box...decent pace off the ball too and has been known to work his socks off when the mood takes him. Hope he's not one sided like most 'central' left footed players. They always seem to end up on the left side of the field.

why does everyone think arsenal's squad is good enough to compete. yes denilson, song and all the others are goin to be good. but cannot compete with the likes of essien, ballack on his day, carrick, hargreves. then we still gotta remember tottenham have bought luka modric aka fabregas and dos santos aka ronaldinho.

Welcome guy! I believe U will be one of the greatest players. I want to see U while playing with our young players, like Walcott, Fabregas, Ramsey, why not Denilson and Song. This is a very good side. It's a pretty one, we will have trophies, next year, for sure.
