Hleb leaves Arsenal

Hleb leaves Arsenal

Winger Alexander Hleb has completed his move to Spanish club Barcelona after passing a medical for the Spanish giants.

The Belarus international described the transfer as a "dream".

He said: "I love this team. I will give my best and I want to win everything with Barca."

Astonishingly, whilst most Arsenal fans were actually happy to see Hleb leave, the Catalan giants have reportedly set a £71 million buy-out clause in his new four-year contract.

It proves what a valuable player he is and why manager Arsène Wenger tried to hard to keep him at Arsenal.

The Frenchman has also lost Mathieu Flamini, Jens Lehmann and Gilberto Silva is also looking likely to leave.

maybe players want to leave because the new home kit looks rubbish? why did hleb have to kiss the barca badge, now i hate him. All the best to Gilberto, thanx and good luck to him.

Hleb was aweful. He cant score, cant assist... Theirs no doubt that he can drible, but how many times when he lost the ball, we conced goals? Remember the stupid foul he did 2 years ago when we play PSV???

He's left, finally, thank lord, thank Barcelona!!!

Why so many people in panic mode?
I remembered how we all felt when Henry left and that was Henry mates!!!
Hleb? A great player, I will miss him no doubt, but we are much more than one skillful player, we are the ARSENAL! And Barcelona has never played the quality football we play and will not no matter who they buy.
I trust Wenger, and I’m sure we will do just fine without those who leave. Of course I expect to see couple of new names coming in the next few weeks, but take it easy… We will be strong!

I've always been really impressed by Hleb and wished he would have had a better career at Arsenal. But I'm comfortable he has moved on to pastures new and wish him all the best in so doing. When all is considered he might well be remembered more for his woeful final ball than his close control, excellent dribbling skills and quick turn of pace. My opinion is that only 10/11 goals in three seasons is way way to short of the expected goal delivery of a top class attacking midfielder. Perhpas he is more suited to the continental style of play!?

Hopefully we can look forward to a better return in the form of Nasri. Personally I also think Gareth Barry would be an excelent addition to the squad but more importantly let's all be patient and look forward to what happens over the next 6 weeks or so.

Wenger knows exactly what he is doing.

Great! From all those who left, i wanted none of them to leave! The players i wished would have left were Hoyte, Adebayor, Eboue & Rosicky! We will suffer next season! I guarantee another trophyless season!

Helb will soon realise that with a goal record like he has will not be tolerated in spain! the fans will turn on him quickly and he will realise that the grass isnt always greener on the other side (like Henry)

The exit of Hleb from the Greatest-Arsenal is a bad news. But I think the master-Wenger tried his best to keep him. His exit has just shown the begining of the rot MONEY is going to bring into the beautiful game of soccer. While wishing him good-luck, I hope the coaching crew of Barca will get the best out of him.

Hleb:Fare thee well.....May you achieve what you did not achieve at Arsenal with Barca. You were a great player but we couldn't keep an unhappy player.
All the best!

Its all good ridding Arsenal of elements whose presence seems 2 destabilise the teams harmony. But Wenger should be wiser next time in employin players who are obscure cos they always like abusing the oppurtunity and use Arsenal as a steppin stone 4 some of their selfish ambitions.Flame , Adebayor and now Hleb are good examples

Sad to see him leave. I loved how he dribbled but he didn't shoot enough. hopefully Nasri will be just as good and hopefully a little bit more direct.
Thank you for the service though alex hleb.

Good riddance... he dribbled himself into trouble and was a goal-shy excuse of a midfielder.

His frailties will be evident at his new club.

Iam the happiest arsenal fan on earth right now. Hleb is really good but he has not proved anything to us arsenal fans. Assist last season was just 4 and the goals is the same with GALLAS a defender... 5 each i guess. Well i wish him the best of luck ,i cant wait for a defender and a defensive midfielder for us to sign.

sad to see hleb go, but after he goes, silva too? who next? silva would be a big loss for arsenal.
