Manager Arsène Wenger has said that he does not have any quarrel with striker Emmanuel Adebayor, after heavy speculation linked the Togolese international with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger said that he was more concerned with the preparation of his team for the new season.
The Frenchman also said that Arsenal will go through the usual proper channels to announce a sale, like they always do with regards to any transfer.
Wenger said: "I speak to everybody. We don't make a case of anybody especially.
"We prepare as a team and we focus on preparing well. Adebayor is like everybody else.
"The day we sell someone we will inform you like we always did.
"As for the rest we will not go into individual happenings on the football market. Otherwise we would never finish."

Dont worry, what ever Adebayor said, Wenger didn't see it.

Anyone who looks at the official Arsenal website will have seen that they have been doing a countdown of our greatest ever players. I suggest that we look at the top ten on that list and then look at Adebayor and his wage demands. We should all then club together and buy him a ticket to Barcelona or Milan ourselves. One way. With a stipulation that no return trip is ever permitted.

i was disappointed abt Sheyi when i heard him say: pay me like henry and i will play like henry. What came 2 my mind then was did dis guy thought henry got to dat heroic status at emirates on a platter of gold? then i said 2 myself, let him play like henry first and he will be rewarded accordinly. Fof Adebayor put ur mouth where ur efforts is.concentrate on the task of helping ARSENAL achieve greatness. so ye e?

everything will be forgotten once Ade starts putting the ball in the net. like him or not, that would be the best result for the team.

ade has nothing to apoligise for. He scored 30 goals last season and the only interviews with him have said he is staying. all the rest is fabricated by the press. Beware what you read and note the journelist that wrote the article.

From Wenger's tone, I can say that Adebayor is in for some rough times at the Emirates when the season finally get underway. He will pay for his disrespect for Arsene, the club and the fans in particular. Besides, I think Arsenal do need another tested striker to hold forth for Eduardo as it's not certain if he could recover fully on time to play top flight football.

Life will be very difficult for Adebayor.
Relying on him for the coming season will be a mistake. Bring in Roque from Blackburn to show Adebayor how it's done. At times, some certain people need to see out of the box. Let him sit on the bench and watch. He will then understand that its not him that scores by magic but its team effort that provides the goal for him. If he then apologises and is forgiven, then even better. Having Santa Cruz as another terrorist in this team is exactly what we missed last season anyway!
