Wenger looking to add to his midfield

After admitting that he would be looking to sign at least one more player, maybe two, in order to strengthen his squad, manager Arsène Wenger has revealed that he is indeed looking to add to his midfield.
Arsenal fans have been calling for Wenger to add to his squad and not just maintain the same head count as last season in order to be in a position to challenge both Chelsea and Manchester United for domestic honours.
"We will need one more body in midfield.
"At the moment we do not have Alex Song who is going to the Olympic games, Abou Diaby was not here tonight and nor was Fabregas.
"If we find a reasonable target then we will do it. But there is no special name on the list.
"We have some time. We have until August 31. We left 11 players back in Austria for this game. They will play in Stuttgart [on July 30]."

Whilst we are on the subject of strenghting the team, what has Le Prof done about the central defence? We are miles from home in that department and it cost of plenty last season. Given the inconsistency in our attack in the absence of Van Persie & Eduardo, the defence takes on added significance. If we can't win matches, lets not lose them either. I vote for the addition of a defender in the mould of Carnavarro. Senderos doesn't make the cut just yet and Gallas is not on top of his game. Hope Arsene does something about re-organizing that defence...We need it!

mr wenger if you spend little you will get little you dont need only a midfilder you need a very good defence sit down senderos you need urgent a midfilder like flamini ( in fact we are missing his football, not him)and a good striker i am going to help you go and get huntelaar eduardo its a shame but he will not be the same .hurry if you dont do that we are goin to finish 7 0r 8 at the end of the season the only silverware that you are going to win is arsenal is the best team for kids

i really don't know what wengers problem is we all saw what happened last season and he is doing the same thing this season the same mistake for 3 seasons in a roll i really don't understand this are we a club to fight for honors or we are just making players only to sell them and make profit if it is we would not disturb ourseleves into thinking we would win anything

wenger should try to bid on either gattuso(ac milan) or miguel veloso(sporting lisboa).
we should also buy a new defender like micah richards(man. city)
but arsenal have already made a big mistake as ben arfa was for sale and we didnt bid on him.

Hleb going is a massive blow, very big indeed.. these youths are coming through the ranks, but they will need a few years to be solid as a team.. who will create that spark when we need it? we cannot rely on fabregas all the time (only human).. we need super quality players that can make a difference like ronaldo those for cheating united.. sell worthless Adebayor and use the money elsewhere.
It'll be another gray season otherwise..

We need Ars-shavin', Lorik Cana or Barry because they both can play as defenders and defensive mid fielders and are both willing and hard working. Finally we need another goalie because I think Almunia isn't too great, and if he gets injured or sent off, who's left? Fabianski, not even close to good enough at this level. these are the things that will lose us the title at the final hurdle, just like last year

Strikeforce: Ade, RVP, Bendtner, Wallcot, Vela, and Eduardo when he comes back. Six players not good enough for two positions? Ok, Roman, Ok....we'll buy more then. Seriously though, a holder mid is what is needed and possibly a back up winger.

it can be better for him than to sign Diego of weder bremen or Ashavin who can hold ball very well and command passes 2 the strikers like the way Fantastic Fabregas does.Inclusion of Santa Cruz or Martins would not be a bad idea afterall.We must just win a silverware dis season at least.

but i like to say that de gunners striking force is not fit for the coming season

BUY YAYA TOURE. We need players who have long stamina like Flamini or Kuyt. Kuyt tirelessly runs every match. Also we need players that are loyal, and who have supported Arsenal since kids, like gerrard and liverpool, terry cheatski etc

We surely need a holding midfielder of repute and not just unknown player for the future. Since Wenger wouldn't want to add much to the squad, a tested and reliable holding midfielder will be required to cover up for the defence. Because it's obvious Wenger wont change anything in the central defence, a position that cost us so much last season.
