Manager Arsène Wenger has paid tribute to goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, who turned up to face his old club in a friendly against VfB Stuttgart.
Lehmann helped the Gunners win the Premier League in the unbeaten season of 2003/04, and whilst he has his critics, no one can deny that he contributed positively to the club.
Wenger said: "It will be very good to see him.
"He will always be remembered as great goalkeeper, a good influence and a super professional.
"We had our differences but always with respect. As long as a guy comes in in the morning and gives 100 per cent to do well then you respect him."
Lehmann's successor, Manuel Almunia, also paid tribute to his former team mate, and said that he has a lot of respect for the German international.
The pair never got along at the best of time but Almunia will not be denying the praise that Lehmann is due.
The Spaniard added: "Jens was always a very competitive goalkeeper who always wanted to win and play. I have much respect for him.
"As for Fabianski and Mannone, we are working very well together, we have a very good relationship.
"We are three very nice guys and we try to work every day for ourselves and for the team of course.
"Also [goalkeeping coach] Gerry Peyton is very easy to work with and at the moment I am enjoying training.
"Lukasz and Vito have both improved because they are young and they have room to improve and become great goalkeepers.
"As one of the oldest players in the team I will try to help them and the other young players."

Gallas play like a retard!!!
He should block the shot, not kneel on the ground.
If a goalkeeper do that, it's ok la..
But he's a DC and a captain...
Sell Gallas and give Senderos more chance...
Pls Lord Wenger, I beg u...

Nice comment...
BUT... From last night one thing is so so obvious....
WE CAN NOT DEFEND.... We urgently need a new Centre Back, anything in the air or over the top we can not defend against...... Against the best teams we will struggle!
