Ramsey aiming for first game against West Brom

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that he is aiming to get into the first-team that will be selected to play in Arsenal's first match of the season - against West Brom.

Ramsey chose Arsenal over Manchester United during a much-publicised transfer saga, and many speculate that the former Cardiff City youngster will struggle to cement a first team place.

Ramsey said: "My priority is to get into the starting 11 for the first game against West Brom and go from there.

"I will just keep working hard in the (pre-season) games and training.

"It's a massive step up from the Championship level.

"I found it quite tough in the first week, but now I've settled in a bit."

"I also want to get my full Welsh cap for Wales. I've always wanted to play for Wales so it's a massive target to get into the team for the qualifiers."

pls wenger, we are in need of a sharp striker inatead of Adebayor, although he really tried for us but contributes to our misfortunes. a great weldone to all arsenal team.up gunners to all arsenal fans out there............

nice ambitious words from the lad, but ill think we see a midfield pairing of cesc and diaby, provided wenger doesnt buy anymore players. work hard ramsey and you'll get your chance just like flamini did.

dont do a diarra though ;)
