One more signing for Wenger?

Manager Arsène Wenger admits that he could still be in the hunt for making one more signing at the club, before the close of the transfer window.
Wenger surprised many by signing former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre, and whilst some are thinking that the French international is the last of this year's recruits, Wenger says there may be room for one more.
Press and fans are speculating that Wenger might be looking to strengthen his midfield, and one player that definitely interests the Frenchman is Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry.
However, many feel that such a move is now unlikely, seeing as Barry is now cup-tied in Europe.
Wenger responded to that statement, saying: "I believe once somebody cannot play for you in Europe, it devalues the player for the season - but it is not necessarily stopping you from buying a player.
"I can surprise you sometimes, as I got one in whom you did not expect, and there still might be one more player coming in.
"There is interest [in Barry] always. But I do not want to give you any names."

Arsene has lost his mind, his tactics, policy, creativity, I think he's now out of touch and now comes up with all sorts of lame, stupid, unreasonable excuses whenever we lose a game. He doesn't have a game-plan anymore. He's got to go. He's pretty much useless at the moment

we have lost 4 quality midfielders in diarra gilberto hleb and flamini.
and replaced them by 2...soo if we lack strengthin depth last season then were fucked now!!

WHAT IF WE SIGN BACK PATRICK VIEIRA ???
I would love that guy to come back to us, we need PV more than TH... he is not doing well in Inter so maybe we should give him a try, he will teach all those midfielders that we already have... I like Song, Denilson, Diaby but they are not ready to hold the 90 min yet... I still dont understand what EBOUE is doing in our midfield... Please somebody prove me wrong!

song and denilson are still young and they need more times to learn.dont risk arsenal position,bring in 1 more experience midfielder although alonso or barry, arsenal will be tough enough

Who is it going to be Wenger nd yeah we dont need any1 coz we just need our players to recover thats all nd get Eduardo, Rosicky nd Cesc back then we r back on top even though we lost!!!!

I think we do need one more signing and for me that signing has to be Mr Xabi Alonso, although i have heard he is a player to similar to Mr Fabregas for the pairing to work in midfield but i think he is a very good player, i'm not doubting Mr Barry but i prefer Alonso and i think he would be a very good signing for us but Mr Wenger knows what he is doing so we'll just have to wait and see.

I would like to know why, if Wenger is interested in Barry, why didn't he focus on buying him a month or so ago or atleast before he played in europe for Villa? however I have faith in Wenger to make the right decision as he always has a trick up his sleeve. Also, people a year wouldn't have expectedFlamini to do such a great job, so if he could do a great job, why can't Diaby or Denilson if he doesnt buy another defensive midfielder? However I would prefer him to bring experience to the midfield, preferably Barry or Alonso or somebody who is experienced in the premiership.

We will definately need one more signing in the midfield as Silvestre will not help fill the vacuum left by the departure of Flamini and Gilberto.Wenger please surprise us again by signing Gareth Barry and no Arsenal fans will complain.

we are desperate for a holding midfielder. we have good young players like song and denilson who can do the job well, but to give us a chance at the title we need an experiance central player who can stay back as fabregas gets forward. its alright to have lots of young players in your team but you need to have that balaced with experiance.
