Adebayor: Losing was a warning

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has said that the team's loss against Fulham was a warning to the Gunners that they were not untouchable.

The Togolese international also said that the hoped the loss would spark his team mates into life after a slow start to the season.

Arsenal's next match is against Dutch side FC Twente, in the second-leg of their Champions League qualifier.

The North London club have the upper hand but Adebayor is not taking anything for granted.

Adebayor said: "Losing is going to be the best warning that we can be given.

"We can't think we are untouchable. We saw that as soon as we don't play together, as soon as we don't put our spirit together, we can lose.

"If we want to challenge [for the Premier League], we cannot lose again. We have to put more heart in, keep focused and play our football.

"You can say that a lot of things were missing at Fulham... a lot of crosses, a lot of strikers not scoring.

"We want to fight and win, and show our fans that what happened [at Fulham] is just a mistake and we can keep on going.

"We have to do everything, we have to put all our hearts together to win that game."

i want to agree with Adebayo that the togetherness spirit was missing but let Adebayo realize now that his performance last season as one of the finest stickers was not an individual effort but a joint one so he should never use such a selfish statement as;pay me like Henry and i will play like him again. No doubt he has prospect and the right place for him to be is Arsenal.Up GUNNERS

I was completly disapointed to see us going down to Fulham, i am not doubting fulham's credibility, there a top top club that is why they are in the premier league, but i love Arsenal and i really want us to win the title this season, we have got to start winning in style now because we are better than Utd and Chelsea. Come on Gooners lets show the other 19 premier league teams who is the best, there is a long way to go in this season so lets start winning these tough games and get the premier league
trophy back to the Emirates. Come on Arsenal we can do it, all Arsenal players, arsenal coaches, arsenal staff and arsenal supporters - lets do what addy says and pull our hearts together and make this one of the best seasons in our long and illustrious history - WE CAN DO IT!

I agree with Ade. We need to get our heads out of our butt and put in some serious effort. RVP should not have taken all the free kicks. He should have let Nasri take at least one. I am worried that without Fabregas our midfield seems lost, unorganized and nervous. We should sign Barry or Alonso before the transfer deadline or we are looking at a very LONG season.

And very importantly to buy at least one more player for the centre of the field, put sylvestre in defence regularly for the experience and develop our strikers killer instinct rather than hesitating & fumbling every time they are in front of a goal.

Well as soon as you start to put away 4 out of 5 chances created i'm sure the problem will be addressed, also you need to be able to turn defenders when at the edge of the box rather than pass the ball back into midfield when under pressure;this will give other players the oppurtunity to make sensible runs!!

I had the pleasure of being at Craven Cottage that afternoon and saw the worst Arsenal performance I can remember.

Denilson couldn't get a pass right all game, and shied away from tackles. Walcott looked so out of his depth. Adebayor, these are rich words from you, Ade looked totally disinterested. And the substitions? Toure was having a great game, yet Denilson stayed on the pitch?!

Seeing your team rightfully getting booed off the pitch is not something I want to see again.

You're rubbish in the game too, Adebayor!!!

absolute rubbish and WENGER HAS TO GO!!!!!!! This old man is getting out of focus and out of touch. He is going senile.

With the current squad and attitude, arsenal is winning nothing!

I hate it cos I love arsenal too much, but I cant bear another heartbreaking year.

Anyone would think that we did the treble last year, with this sort of attitude. Where has this complacency come from? The lack of a proper leader - and it's worrying that our club captain was on the pitch, and it was another player whose drive and ability to lead-by-example we sorely missed...

Trust the clown to state the obvious. If he made more of an effort instead of being off side all the time we would not need excuses

Ade has no right to comment! He cant even put the ball in the back of the net!
