Senderos leaves for Milan

Senderos leaves for Milan

Defender Philippe Senderos has joined AC Milan on a one-year loan deal.

The Swiss international had fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates with the signing of former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre.

Senderos' career at Arsenal began as one of the more promising centre-backs in the world, but he failed to establish himself in the first team and made some costly errors.

He joins midfielder Mathieu Flamini, and the Italian club have the option of making the deal permanent with an agreed fee next summer.

good move, might cost us this year but sending him on loan will pay us in the future,

milan is the best place to learn defending, and this should work out well for us

I think fans should not go watch games specially away ones. this is a joke. traore left and then sanderos. silvester is injured. we have no cover for back line. imagine clichy and fabragas get injured for two months, arsene has lost it. he doesnt know wot he is doin. since viera left. we became so crap. :'(

The real reason for Wenger selling Senderos is becoz he has to balance the budget, so far he has spent a little more then earnt in the transfer market. The sale of Senderos means Arsenal would have earnt more then what they spent. Its a recent trend that Wenger makes money in the transfer period, since the move to the emirates stadium

I think this loan dangerous for us,we have luck of central defensive midfielder.I always I rise one question ,why we don't buy the player instead of lose one? we need progress at every time ,season ,this is not done.Senderos is best in your position if we take a chance like other player ,I am too sure Senderos is more better than gallas ,but we lose such best player.I wish all the best too thanks for your brilliant diligence for our club ,really I AC milan you get the perfect performance.
GOOD LUCK!

this may have been a good move for arsenal as they are unloading a useless player. however, senderos was one of fabregas's best friends (along with hleb and flamini) and it seems like wenger is just getting rid of those who are closest to fabregas. this may harm us in a couple of years where fabregas might decide to leave unless we get someone like alonso to join us soon

I EXPECTED A MOVE LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN LAST SEASON, NOT THIS SEASON WHEN WE ARE DOWN TO 'BARE BONES'. I THINK ARSENE HAS LOST IT. HE'S JUST TURNING ARSENAL TO THE BEAUTIFUL BRIDE. FOR GOD SAKE Y WONT HE BUY PLAYERS!!!!! EVEN A SMALL CLUB LIKE POMPEY ARE SPENDING, RIGHT. ITS SO ANNOYING WATCHING ARSENAL PLAY NOW, TEAMS DONT FEAR US ANYMORE. I WONT BE SHOCKED IF HULL CITY BEAT US, THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING. ITS A MANS GAME AND ALSO A CASH SPINNING SPORT. I REALLY HOPE HE, ARSEN, READS MOST OF THESE COMMENTS. PLEASE BUT A PLAYER WE ALL WOULD APPRECIATE AND WHO WOULD GIVE THE TEAM THE NECESSARY MOTIVATION. WHAT ARE THE LIKES OF EBOUE, GALLAS, DJORU DOING IN THE TEAM? ARSENE PLEASE LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE!!!!

WHY IS ARSENE DOIN THIS....SILVESTRE IS INJURY PRONE
WHICH LEAVES US WID 3 CENTER BACKS....OK WE HAVE SONG WHO CAN ALSO PLAY THERE...BUT THEN WHAT IF CLICHY GET INJURED AND SILVESTRE HAS TO PLAY DERE IF HES FIT....WE THEN AGAIN ONLY HAVE 3 CENTRE BACKS

I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND THISS ONE

I think having reserve players is totally over rated. In fact, why bother having subs at all. Just put out 11 players and hope for the best. Works for Wenger. OR NOT

Yes, you failed to make the rank at Arsenal and yet you get signed by AC Milan?

I just don't understand why we loan/sell every single avaliable defender out. Of course, people would say that we have already somebody lining up for replacement. As far as we all understand, there is nobody, not even a midfielder. It is just shocking.

Ok. Its official , Wenger has finally gone bonkers. Fair enough if he feels that we should not panic buy a player after last weekend loss. But to let go another key player on loan when we are already shaky at the back line... I really dunno what to say. Transfer window ending in a week or so. I really REALLLY hope he pulls a Big rabbit out of the hat otherwise its going to be a VERY long and heart breaking season from the looks of it...

Who said that the Italians don't have a sense of humour!!! What are Milan thinking of, is it April Fools Day, this has got to be one of the best days of the past couple of years for being a Gooner.
Lets face facts, Senderos was never up to the quality needed to be an Arsenal Centre Half, possibly Scunthorpe or Crewe Alex. The chap has no pace, he couldn't head home, bigger players i.e Drogba just loved playing against him, they had a field day against him. Could he ever be forgiven for his dismal performance against the Scousers in last seasons Champions League at Anfield, after which he does a Sol Cambell on it, a weeks rest for mental stress, let him have a week of stick which was heaped on to all us Gooners after the defeat and he would need more than a weeks leave of absence.
To finalise Im over the moon, chuffed, could not be happier that we have got rid of this lerch, the season can only get better.

I wish him the very best of luck. Pity we couldnt hold onto him he would be an impact sub or starter player against mid to lower table teams , where bullish force would be necessary. His confidence was wrecked last year but still a useful player

There we go again. I don't see why Gallas makes mistakes Day-in-Day-out and still get's the Captain badge , plus plays every match. Senderos made a couple, now we about to sell him to A.C. Milan.

All i know is that this is going to comeback and HUNT Arsenal big time.

Senderos had a great attitude and devotion to the club... which always made me hope he would start putting in great performances. But he just hasn't naged to shine in my opinion. His devotion will be missed, but not his quality...

ohhh that is a such good news 4 arsenal...at least our hearts will not stop pumping when mr.senderos was with the ball...actually we cant trust a player and to have a confidence on him while he has no confidence in him self...so now just sign barry or alonso or yaya toure to help fabregas in controlling the game...if not...i will start to lose patience on you mr.wenger...

And another bites the dust. Senderos for Silvestre? What really is the Big deal. And somebody please kindly explain this new romance between arsenal and AC.
This season seems so confused and i just cant imagine what to think. I do not even have the confidence to watch another arsenal match. Definately not at this rate. I hope thw witchdoctor (AW) can still do some of his magic.

I for one am pissed that our best players are leaving and we are replacing them with the likes of Silvestre!
Flamini should have been offered a higher salary.

Eboue and Denilson were crap in midfield WE NEED TO RUSH into the transfer market! Both of them were afraid to get stuck in there!

My god we are pathetic this season by the looks of our first two games..

Walcott dosn't deserve to start. As simple as that!

How many games will Eboue play without anyone of the coaching staff realising he's crap!
