Manager Arsène Wenger has said that Brazilian midfielder Denilson can fill the void left by departed Frenchman Mathieu Flamini.
There is currently competition to see who can form a more successful partnership with Spaniard Francesc Fabregas, and with Abou Diaby injured, Wenger is hoping that Denilson will take this opportunity to stake his claim.
Speaking to the official website, Wenger said: "Football is to be always ready when you get your chance. To show that you have the quality. You can only do that if you have exceptional concentration level, exceptional stamina and motivation.
"Denilson has different qualities to Flamini but if you look at the numbers at the end of the season you will see he is a very good player. You look at the assists he has had since the start of the season, the balls he wins, the interceptions he has and the distance he covers.
"He is maybe not a flashy player but he is an efficient player."

he seems to be able to attack better and score goals rather than track back and defend. song is more solid choice in the middle instead.

TOTALLY AREE WITH LE BOSS, I WOULD HAVE PREFERED A BIG STRONG 'VIEIRA' TYPE OF PLAYER TO HAVE BEEN BOUGHT INTO THE CLUB HOWEVER I HAVE BEEN VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE YOUNG BRAZILIAN DENILSON. YES HES NOT AS ATHLETIC AND DYNAMIC AS FLAMINI WAS HOWEVER I BELIEVE HE IS A BETTER PASSER WHO WILL ASSIST MORE GOALS AND EVEN POP UP AND SCORE A FEW HIMSELF, VERY MUCH LIKE A YOUNG GILBERTO??...WHAT DO YOU THINK....
