Hull's shock win at the Emirates Stadium left Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger disappointed with his team's lack of physical strength and determination.
Not a single Arsenal player was even involved in any of the three goals, as the single goal accredited to Arsenal was the result of an own-goal from Hull.
The Gunners had enough chances to run away with the match in the first half alone, but didn't take their chances.
Wenger said: "I believe we had the chances to win the game as you have seen. I feel the commitment was on Hull's side.
"They fought for 90 minutes and I believe from the start onwards we were not completely switched on to the level that you need to be to win the game.
"Maybe it is because human beings are not always machines. We thought subconsciously that we will make it, that's basically it. But after we were 1-0 up and that's when we were a bit careless.
"Instead of pushing on and scoring a second goal, we gave too much room to Hull and in the end we were caught.
"We don't know [if our rivals winning will cost us] but I believe Hull were committed. It's a good lesson for us because the commitment was on their side.
"We know from these kind of games that, in the League, when your attitude from the start is not good enough you risk losing the game.
"They played well and they defended especially very well. I think that's where they were dominant and where we were beaten. I think we had 25 crosses today, their keeper and defenders did a great job."

I still can't belive we won the game. you should of put us to bed in the first half hour. You paid the price for poor finishing. ps T Henry would have bagged a hat trick!

its simple arsenal can win everything this season if they can prevent the other side from getting corners...

Its come to my notice that we (Arsenal Club & Fans) are so quick to jump up for joy when we have a good performance.g Arsenal 6 - Sheffield United 0. I think we should play it cool this season as we must always remember the disgrace of last season.we must learn to be humble.everyone has been screaming for joy cos we were on top...twas the same way last season and now our rivals realise that we always do well at the beginning but can we sustain this till the end? .I thought last season's embarrassment was huge but this is the biggest disgrace ever and I think it was down to complacency. The attitude the boys took to the game was really poor.every game should be treated like a CL final.there are no easy games, the 3 points gained against Stoke is the same as Man U, Chelsea...every 3-point game is vital.I tot they would have learnt from last season. seems they never did.
Finally, let's face it..our defence has been woeful to say the least. Wenger has been boasting of us not conceding a goal in open play all season.Let it be known that this wasn't down to anything but luck.Against Blackburn , Kiev we would have been skinned alive if not for the strikers missing good opportunities.I really want this team to win and focus on the big prize. My bro ( a Man u fan) has likened Arsenal to a lil boy at school with a fine hand writing but comes out with woeful grades...its hard to take but it's the truth and I totally agree with him ( @`least till we win a trophy)

let's face it, we r doomed. it will be another bullet-less, trophy-less Gunners this season! with gallas and toure full of crap,I don't think our defence will hold any away from home attacks from now on.

Very disapointed with their performance! The goals we missed are unbelievable, and its not a good sign if we concede 2 goals at home. Im very nervous about the Porto game, lets hope The Boss will give those boys who won 6-0 a chance to play, and that will give our A team a chance to remenis about their disapointing performance against Hull! I really hope we beat Porto convincingly on tuesday! In Wenger we trust!

I was very very disapointed with arsenal ,s display on saturday, there was definately lack of commitmen, I think it is time to get a solid defensive holding midfielder so that fabregas is given room to move a bit up front just behind strikers. But the real problem on saturday was lack of communication between strikers and midfielders.
