Manager Arsène Wenger has intimated that he might be rotating the squad for tonight's clash with Porto.
Many are wondering whether the Frenchman is quietly forcing rotation as a form of punishment for the players who have not been performing up to the necessary standards in the league, but Wenger denies this.
He said: "Punishment? No, you know sometimes you make changes because you consider the other team, you consider the balance of your team, sometimes because one player is not at his best.
"If a player or two do not play tomorrow it is not a punishment, it is just because of a rotation in the side. You cannot play every single game with the same 11 players.
"I always look first at myself after defeats. Don't worry about that. We do that with all the staff.
"You think about the game and, if you can watch it, you watch it again.
"But there were certainly enough ingredients in the game to make me physically sick again.
"We had an opportunity to go top of the League and in that situation you have to be right in your intensity and in your concentration level. That 'electric level' in our head was not high enough.
"I don't know if we can't afford to lose again but what we delivered today was not good enough. We know that. So the important thing now is not how many games we can lose this season but preparing well for Tuesday night."

I agree with evryone, Toure must go to the midfield! He is more mobile now he's like Gattuso, it will Csec a chance to control the midfield and provide the balls to the strikers (preferably Bendtner & Vela/Van Persie, Ade can be a substitute). Silvestre can fill the central defence with Gallas. Those are the changes i would make in the team, but lets hope Arsene Wenger comes up with a better combination!

in response to bill rowley, i agree with you and would love to see the experiment.wenger thinks that toure is not mobile enough to play c.m yet bought him as a midfielder. Strange, like some other comments lately from A.w

with denilson playing almost every first team game, maybe he'll get a rest and maybe we will see toure or djourou in central midfield with cesc.
song's injured as well. i doubt he'll go for ramsey and cesc. maybe eboue.
nasri on the wings with either walcott or eboue. i'm not looking forward to eboue though.
up front i dont want to see adebayor. i wana see bendtner with vela or van persie. preferably vela.
as much as i'd like gallas to be dropped i doubt it'll happen. and its about time the captaincy is given to either toure or almunia, being the most experienced and oldest members of the team.

Will AW ever see that our big problem over the last two years is our two central defenders? The likes of Gallas, Toure and Senderos in particular have cost us dearly. AW must do something about it very urgently. With two Central defenders of a class similar to Ferdinand, Vidic, Terry, Carvalhio, the CL and the Premiership would be a piece of cake for Arsenal. The rest of the players are world class and immensely pleasurable to watch.

We don't have the right balance unlike Man United or Chelsea who have both foreign snd english players . We have tooo many foreign players we need more english players to keep the balance right .

.Am i alone in thinking lets try Kolo Toure in midfield,he looks tailor made, big strong quick,at the moment we seem far to lightweight.Until we learn to defend set pieces i am afraid we will win nothing.
