Winger Samir Nasri has not been included in the call-up by the French Football Federation, which is welcome news for Arsenal fans.
It is international week and whilst most Gunners have left London Colney to join-up with their countrymen at their respective training camps, Nasri has been excluded as he has just returned from injury and not featured regularly enough in the last month.
France Under-21 boss Erick Mombaerts has explained why: "Samir's problem, at the time when we made the lists, is that he was not sure whether he would play for Arsenal.
"We knew he wouldn't play entire games. As he didn't have enough time of play to be called up by France, we thought it's the same for France Under-21."
