Wenger proud of Arsenal fightback

Manager Arsène Wenger has said that he's proud of the fightback shown by his team in the match against Everton today.

The Gunners went 1-0 down and looked fragile against a well-organised Everton side.

It looked like the North London club would fall further behind the title race but goals from Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott ensured that the three points stayed at the Emirates.

Wenger said: "I am very proud of the way we came back with pride and we got a deserved victory.

"In the last 20 minutes of the first half we were on top of them.

"We had to reshuffle the team because we have a compact squad but everyone can play.

"It was vital that we won for us to stay in the championship race."

Gael Clichy is proving to be a very valuable defender! This is the 2nd game were he cleared the ball from the goal line!

it's good we won today, but we cannot continue to come back from behind to have a real chance of ending the season as champions. It seems that for us to win even the easiest of matches we had to put in everything. Why the like's of Manchester United and Chelsea who are our rivals for the title win matches effortlessly, our darling team struggle.Something has to been done fast.

We were pathetic in the first half, and just average in the second half! We need to come out guns blazing from the 1st minute to the last and not only start to attack when we are a goal down! Arsenal is an unbeatable team but we always find a way to beat ourselves by commiting silly mistakes especially against small teams! Well att least we got the 3 points and lets hope we become stronger from here, Chelsea, Liverpool and ManUtd are going to slip up sooner or later, we just have to make sure that we keep wining and the league will be ours!
