Adebayor questions title challenge

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has questioned Arsenal's title credentials after a disappointing run of results.

The Gunners have had an easy start to the season but are already nursing three losses in a season that was supposed to be better than the last.

After the 4-4 draw against Tottenham, Adebayor said: "To be champions in this way? You can never be a champion.

"There is a lot of disappointment. We are down at the moment because we did everything to get the three points and we ended up with one.

"We feel very sorry for ourselves that the things are not going the right way.

"It was one of the most difficult games in my life because I cannot understand that after 90 minutes we were leading 4-2 - I don't know how we finished with a draw.

"It's very easy to give up because we were 4-2 up and maybe thinking the game was finished. With five, six or seven minutes to go, maybe in our head the game was over."

I rarely enter comments in here but seeing the current results that have taken place this week, I feel that I have to vent out my frustrations somehow. But get this, I'm not frustrated with Wenger, the players nor the way we are playing. I'm frustrated with the FANS!!!! I mean, what the hell is wrong with you people?!!! A fan is suppose to be behind the team no matter whether the players and manager is going thru a good or a rough patch. I'm not saying that we are not suppose to give opinions but some of the gooners are just taking it too far by calling Wenger names and questioning his tactics. In case you don't realise, he has a very young squad but yet we are still considered one of the Big Four...so really, he is, in my mind the best manager in the footballing world. And to those of you who are hopping over to support Chelsea or Man U, guess wat?...We true Gooners couldn't care less. In fact, you shudn't be calling urselves Arsenal fans in the first place. A team can only move forward with full support from the fans. So, let us all not let our favourite team down in this bad period by supporting & cheering them on in the game against Fener and more importantly Man U and I'm sure things will start picking up frm there.

Ade, will you please secure the title for us instead of questioning whether it is possible?

You should give ADE credit. Without Ade arsenal lack a force upfront. he has done his job very well when called upon. The problem with the team is very obvious. arsenal lack authority in midfield. with a solid defensive player in behind fabregas arsenal will be the team to beat. we saw that last season with flamini. And lest i forget we need a Central Defense Overhaul.

IT AMUSES ME THAT IT IS THE WORST CULPRITS FOR ARSENAL'S PRESENT FORM ARE THE MOST OUTSPOKEN. PROOF THAT ARSENE WENGER DOES NOT DISCIPLINE THESE GUYS. HE MISSED TWO GOOD CHANCES AND JUST HELPED IN A GOAL BOUND MOVE AND HE'S YAKKING. PLS KEEP QUIET MR. ADEBAYOR.

that was a poor show.. its totally disheartening for an arsenal fan..im an arsenal fan from india.. i dint get to see the live telecast of the match.. and there was the final score show of espn before the match was supposed to be telecasted.. and i saw the highlights of both the chelsea and manutd games before i saw the highlights of ours.. and it made me wonder.. how are we even goin to come close to challenging these solid teams.. i fear it is going to be season where arsenal are gona lose a lot.. not just in terms of silverware..

Would never have happened with Ray Parlor coming on even at his age what did that bad joke Diaby think he was sent on 4 to score if scoring again was the objective Nasri stays on He was sent on defend 451 2 walls to win that knock down so no last goal to crowd the midfield to chase & cover everyone for 7 minutes
