Wenger vows to repay fans' faith

Manager Arsène Wenger has promised to repay the faith shown in him over the years.

The Frenchman has been criticised in many quarters, including on this website, for the decisions he's made recently that has left Arsenal in a weaker position year on year.

But Wenger says that first he has to restore confidence in the squad ahead of tonight's match against Fenerbahce.

Wenger said: "Let's re-establish what we have not done well recently, defend together as a team and continue to play in a positive way.

"The same people who say we are not good, let them say it in three weeks when we are the best.

"We want to be guided by the way we want to play football, our spirit and not to go over-board. We lost a game but we are six points behind the leaders.

"It is the start of November and we have plenty of quality to get it back."

man wenger has kept on messing things up year after year am really getting tired of these trophy less seasons better and more competitve players shud be got to have any chance at any trophy at all

Piss off Wenger.You've stuffed up the club that I worship and because of you we haven't won a trophy for how many years?You can't have a side capable of beating Chelsea and Man U with Toure, Gallas, Van Persie and Denilson in it.Just buy some world class players who have been proved at the top so we can contest for the champs and also the league.We need some brilliant centre backs as well as a man of war along side Febregas like my man Viera(why the hell did we sell him?)Fabregas should get the armband not just to keep him at the club but also because he has respect from the team and he will play with more heart as his recent games have been shocking.Please Wenger, I don't know how much longer I can take this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fuly agree that the arsenal players were deliberately targetted so that they won't be so effective. In 2003 three playeres were injured in the Bolton game with the gunners leading 2-0.
you nevere know. It's up to the ref s to be strict. That;s why the gunners with their superior technique could prosper in the cl where the ref s give the players greater protection.
I'm afraid England will never repeat never win the wc if the ref s don't clamp down on the thugs in the epl and there are many of them around.

wenger should do us favour. to promise good things taday and see worst things happening in the team tommorow makes us hopeless. the fact is that we have lost good players during transfer seasons without proper replacement. talk about henry, reyes, vieira, flamini, gilberto to mention but a few. the mighty club that we once were proud of is now becoming a losing club. three seasons without any silver ware yet wenger continues to promise good things. are we winning his empty promises? are we in the competition to escort other clubs to victory? what are you talking about wenger. we once trusted your words but now they have become nightmare to us. your comrade ferguson continues to sign talented and experienced players and indeed they pay him back with trophies. what should we do? we can't support any other club because our hearts are on ARSENAL ALONE. we know every thing has diminishing returns so if your policy is not working, please change so that we don't see the complete down fall of the club in your hands.

To me i would love to see fabiaski in goal if we are to have any luck,or even if we are to win any silver ware this season.
