Bendtner taking his chance

The bruising match at Stoke City saw Arsenal's top two strikers suffer injuries at a time when the team play two crucial matches in a week.

They take on Turkish side Fenerbahce in their Champions League clash and then entertain champions Manchester United on Saturday.

Emmanuel Adebayor suffered an ankle injury during the 2-1 defeat at Stoke City on Saturday and Robin van Persie will miss three domestic games after being sent off in the same game.

Bendtner is now determined to prove his worth and step up to the plate to lead the Arsenal attack.

The Danish international said: "We have them [Adebayor and van Persie] out so I will be trying to do my best to help us win if I'm playing.

"Whether I am out or not I will try to play the best football I can to get into the team.

"I wouldn't say it is frustrating [not being first choice]. As I say I do what I can do and then it is up to the manager to pick the team.

"I have played a few games and I have done alright. I can only keep doing what I've been doing and then it is up to the boss to pick who he wants."

I just don't get it...Bendtner shows me nothing with ball. He is playing terrible so far today.

I have always thought Bendy will become a top striker and link up well with the Velas and Dudus of this world. This is his time and I expect him to step up to the plate and show his true qualities.
I wouldnt be surprised to see him hold on to his position even when Ade is fit again.

we are screwed against the scum

no
Eduardo, nasri, walcott, RVP, Adebeyor and gallas

lets hope Vela and Bendtner can play together tonight (and lets hope they play well). Want to see Bischoff play as well - hopefully he will be a decent midfielder.

getting a little sick and tired of Denilson as well - i think he is useless - personal opinion mind
