Midfielder Francesc Fabregas has said that him and his team mates were feeling nervous after an eventful few weeks for the team.
This was reflected in the standard of their finishing last night as the Gunners failed to break down a determined Fenerbahce defence.
Fabregas said: "As usual we had a lot of possession, we outplayed them all over the place. But we were lacking a bit of mobility, still, in the final third.
"Sometimes we are a bit too nervous. When things don't go well, sometimes you try to do things on your own.
"It's a bit frustrating, of course, when you have so many chances but don't score."
The Spaniard says that the weekend's clash against Manchester United was now massive, and was looking forward to facing the Premiership champions.
He added: "We don't want excuses because we are playing for Arsenal and a lot of players would like to be in our position.
"We have to make sure we give everything on the pitch always.
"We have to keep going. The next match, against Manchester United, is massive. This is welcomed because it's a big game and big players want to play in big games."

Its about time Arsenal beat Man Utd! I know the odds doesn't look good for us but hey football is played on the pitch, and I pray Arsenal make it a memorable win.

It's refreshing to here cesc's comments.he sounds highly commited to the team. All we need now is arsen to deliver in the next trade window a quality finnisher to lift the youngsters spirits. It must be hard to keep playing your heart out only to be let down time after time.sometimes i think we get lost in the world of money to realise these young men still just want to win a game of football.

I purely believe this current Arsenal team is supremely skilled in all areas compared to teams past and just need to focus on their game. Something tells me they are going to defeat Manchester United this week. That would be the biggest boost they will need to get their season back on track.

If Arsenal had taken one of their chances in the first half, they may of come away with an easy win. Bendtner looked a bit rusty and needs more games.
Without Ade, Eboue and Walcott the team lacked a bit of pace up front and in the middle to get round the defence.
Arsenal lacked players getting into the box. This is something that Fabregas could improve on, as he doesn't realy have the pace for a holding midfielder. I don't think Fabregas as reached top form purhaps due to an hangover from Euro2008?

I am also nervous. I am always nervous before Arsenal play big games, or the derby against spurs. But these games are unmissable.
