Wenger hails team spirit

Manager Arsène Wenger has hailed the spirit of his team as they responded from a week of criticism to beat Manchester United 2-1.
United were always dangerous going forward but Arsenal had their chances as well and it was a nervy last few minutes when the visitors pulled a goal back.
Wenger said: "I am very proud of the performance. It was a fantastic game and we won against a great side, who were very dangerous going forward.
"The team was not faultless, but we were spot-on spirit-wise. Now we want consistency and to keep winning.
"We did hang on, and they took the initiative. We couldn't finish the game off with a third goal and we had six nervy minutes of stoppage time.
"It was a very open game as we wanted to go forward every time we had the ball, and they did as well. It shows that football can be fantastic when two teams play like that."

arsenal win coz adebayor not play.please rubish this player.he not striker,he more to stiker.His actor like divison 3 player.No good shoot,no good pass,no good control ball.He was influent team mate to play match as training anytime.love arsenal anyway

Sadly, not every team in the league is willing to do that. They rather score a goal against us, using a scrappy set-piece, and defend the remainder of the game. Arsenal need to develop that ability of getting under the opponents skin and start doing as much as possible in getting rid of that stereotype of not being able to play defensive teams.
