Wenger: United game could be turning point

Manager Arsène Wenger has said that the weekend's win over Manchester United could be the turning point in his team's season.

The Gunners have started the season rather indifferently with famous wins over some big clubs in Europe but stumbled to losses against the likes of Fulham, Stoke City and Hull City.

But the 2-1 over the Premiership champions could be the confidence boost that Wenger says his team needed, as long as they keep the momentum going.

He said: "It depends on how well we keep the heat up, how well we keep that fantastic desire that we had in the squad on Saturday and how much we can maintain the level.

"Not only do you want to keep that feel-good factor but you want to develop it and maintain the quality. We suffered before this game and we can learn from that.

"I believe my players are intelligent and they can show not only that we can learn from that but we can maintain that kind of pace in every single game.

"I was very happy that [the win over Man United] can reinforce the belief in the team. For me that is the most important thing.

"It will whet the appetite to push on from there and not to release the pressure.

"We want pressure and we want to compete in every game but you have to keep the belief."

There is absolutely no doubt the great win has boosted morale. I for one will hope the gunners get to earth and stop saying they will win this and that.
A proper evaluation can be done after games against pool and Chelsea and not forgetting Villa.
The villans will be itching to get back to winning ways.underestimate them at your peril my fellow gunner fans.
seven points will show show the gunners are on the way.

the win against man u is a booster.look at what the draw against tottenham caused.a loss to stoke city because they put their all in that match and eventually the match ended in a draw.but with a win over man u,we can go to Aston Villa with our heads high and come back home with three ponits.

This should not make Arsenal look as if they have won tha title. They should remember that they have not yet Liverpool and Chelsea which look very good and solid. A win over Manchester United should not be looked as the matches are over they have a return league at Old Trafford and many other strong team. So dreaming is good for the young Gunners but it is not good to dream during day time always.

we should not get overconfident. we did last time and we drew to spurs, sunderland, and lost to those three! we should play simple and normal
