Wenger: We were not good enough

Manager Arsène Wenger has said that defeat is always hard to take for any manager, and it's even worse when they are trying to assess the game after the match.

The Gunners were soundly beaten by Aston Villa 2-0 over the weekend in what was the North London club's fourth defeat of the season.

Wenger said: "We were beaten by a team who were sharper than us.

"You can watch that again on the tape; it doesn't change.

"It is much harder [for managers]. You look at the tape again but it is always very difficult after the game.

"Those first 48 hours are very difficult for every manager.

"I think we were not, as a team, sharp enough to dictate the pace and be dominant in the fight [against Aston Villa]."

We should buy Jack Newby as he is a solid cm and would wear the arsenal shirt with pride. He is a class player and would cost a lot. He would partner Fabregas well and is also very young.

The big mistake

The biggest mistake was to sell Vieira. He would have been a father figure to our kids and instilled the killer instinct and love for the club. Who knows how much silverware has slipped through our fingers because of Wenger's biggest mistake!

Since vieria left we have won nada. the player are soft and not fit to wear the arsenal shirt. Everything we did stand for ie: be able to defend a one-nil lead, leadership of captains, pride and passion has been replace by fancy showboating football. I'm an arsenal fan and glad this has happened - to show we have no right to claim the league and we can win it with kids. denilson, walcott, glichy, nasri, all lightweight.
