You may have noticed that any reference to a time or date for when Arsenal are playing against specific clubs have been removed from the site.
This is due to copyright laws being enforced by Football DataCo, who are stating that fixture lists belong to the clubs and therefore cannot be reproduced without consent from those clubs.
We were in touch with Arsenal and they were willing to discuss various options with us regarding the publication of the fixtures, but ultimately the decision was made to not allow the fixtures to be re-produced on Arsenal-Mania.
Thus, our list has been reduced to mainly a list of clubs that Arsenal are yet to play this season, whether it's home or away and if the match is showing on a particular TV channel.
Matches that have already been played however, are still displayed as normal on the site.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and hope you continue to enjoy the other parts of the website, such as Player Profiles, League Tables, Chelsea/versus.html">Head-to-Head Records and of course, the Forum!

The only logic I could see in this is the fluid nature of fixtures, especially from February to May. If the clubs have a monopoly on listing fixtures, they're responsible for the accuracy (or lack thereof).
Say a supporter bought match tickets and made travel arrangements based on a supporter Web site's fixture listing, then lost money on a change in the match date or time. Not sure what UK law is, but might the clubs be attempting to protect themselves from litigation?

This seems really counter productive. Now the fans (who won't even cross the street for coffee) are expected to surf around to see what time the games are on in their times zones. Nice going Arsenal. Way to back the fans up, especially when you aren't showing us anything on the pitch.

Lists cannot be copyrighted. This was a court ruling in America, if you are based there. Ask a lawyer friend. Otherwise you can get around it be not simply reproducing it directly - facts definitely cannot be copyrighted.

Funny how Big Brother is going to keep records of all the websites we visit, all the emails we send etc, without asking for our permission. And yet we need to ask permission to reproduce a blooming fixture list.
